CHANGE

I read of your scriptures and try my best to interperate them the best I can.  One of the many things that I have gathered is your lessons is forgiveness and the power it holds, and your philosophies on change.

I understand that change of any kind must start with ones self and then work outwardly.  You have shown this to me in many areas of your word, but the one example that stands out the most is that of your son, Jesus.  Rather than forcefully attempt to change people, or demand change, or even persuade change, he lead by example.  He showed us all in the way that He lived his life.  He made great changes, like that of Saul to Paul, but He did so but influencing others to change in how He lived his life.

The power of forgiveness is a great power. It frees us, it soothes us, it heals us, it is a fundamental building block of change, and influence.  In order to move forward and grow we must be willing to forgive others of their transgressions, and not hold on to them.  I have learned that it is near impossible to grow in a positive direction when I am holding on to negativity.  I feel that holding on to any grudge, wrong doing, insult, pain, or fault only weakens me and keeps me stuck in negativity.  Jesus forgave those that crucified him and ask Jah to forgive them as well for they know not what they do.

Forgive, Let Go, Change Inside, Influence Outside.

13 Who is wise and understanding among you. Let him show out of his fine conduct his works with a mildness that belongs to wisdom.
14 But if YOU have bitter jealousy and contentiousness in hearts, do not be bragging and lying against the truth.
15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is [the] earthly, animal, demonic.
16 For where jealousy and contentiousness are, there disorder and every vile thing are.


so here is what I got from this, make sure that all your works are pure at heart and not for selfish gains. And I think this came at just the right time. Today as I was ever so stressed because my business isn't going as smoothly as I had desired, sitting searching for answers, I looked to my phone and saw I had a new scripture awaiting in my "daily bible quotes". As I read I felt as though it was meant for me to read at just that moment. Telling me that I was too focused on personal gains for things to work smoothly. So Jah I ask your forgiveness, and pray you help me move forward the right way.

I've been working hard to make it for me and my family. I can see you very clearly working in my life, good looks on the recent advancements, and the new properties and buyers. Thanks for the happiness you helped me bring to my grams. Thanks for a wonderful lady, I gotta say I didn't see her coming. Thanks for giving me great family, especially those that are crazy, their craziness makes me stronger and teaches life lessons and how to be more like you. Thanks for Mike, I can see you sent him to me, and I have a funny feeling u sent me to him to help him over come his demons. Thanks for grams Bryant, I've learned so many valuable things from her, she is the best thing you could have ever done for me. thanks for pops heart attacks and strokes, it made him a better person, it made him rebirth himself. Thanks for little billy, he reminds me of young me, I'm sorry for leading him astray, sure it was fun but now I'm gonna get him back on track. thanks for my lady again, she's what I need.

overall, even on those days it seems I'm preoccupied and don't come to u as often as normal. those are the days I feel most blessed cause oddly enough it feels as though u look out for me most those days. those are the days I feel most blessed because on those days when I'm forgetful and selfish, you are still there for me.

Let It GO!!!!

One of the many great gifts that Jah has given us is the the ability and the POWER to choose.  Now this isnt just choosing up from down, yes from no, right from wrong, this is the gift of making clear and consice decisions. 

Power and choice are the key to happiness. If you are wronged by me, you have the choice to decide how this crime will effect you.  most people take the easy route and allow their emotions to choose for them just how to feel. But for those of us that can see the error in this way and utilize our Jah given freedom of choice and decide just how we will allow this crime to effect us, we are able to find glee, happiness, a lesson learned, strenght, courage, conviction to move forward. 

If you are wronged, no matter how horrible the crime is, we have the power to forgive, and I hate to admit this because I am proud, but even the worst crime there is, which is the theft of life is a forgivable crime.  It all depends on us. 

The worse part of this is that so many people carry on throughout life, keeping score of all those that have wronged them and hold dear to these iniquities daily complaining, daily carrying on in depression, and all for what?

You are aware that you happiness is a choice right?

You are aware that happiness comes with a price, right?

You do know that happiness has nothing what so ever to do with any external stimuli, and everything to do with you right?

Well if not then now you know.  Yes things may upset us , and yes people will do things that hurt us, yes life can and will throw you a curve ball.  But it is up to us to exercise our power to choose how these things will effect us, and for how long.  If happiness were so damn easy we would all be happy, but its not, we have to work at it, we have to be convicted.

Did you also know that Jah asks for these woes?  Well its true!  And He also asks for us to have faith in Him, and to do so means that you trust that He can and will be there for you when you need Him and that you will lean on Him, and not to do so, not to give Him your problems to handle, to dwell on issues out side of your control is just the same as saying "Jah I dont have faith in you". 

Let go of these burdens, let go of the hurt inflicted by others, take away their power to hurt you, free yourself through the choice to forgive and lean on Jah!

You're Welcome

Jah doesnt make mistakes, it just doesn't happen.  Everything He does is with purpose.  Just like all of the cycles that He has put in place. One of the most important cycles, is the cycle of life. 

We are all born pretty much the same way, very dependent on everyone and anyone just to survive.  We then learn independence as times passes, the ablility to do for our selves, by our selves.  For those of us that are so inclined the next step in this cycle is interdependence, the art of working collectively with others to achieve a common goal. 

But as is the same in any cycle, things must cycle through and around so toward the end of we end up back toward the begining where we are once again dependent on others just to survive. 

I believe that people should keep this close in mind when dealing with elders.  It isnt so much that they are lazy, or taking advantage, it is the way Jah made it, and Jah doesnt make mistakes.

More importantly, this is after all a cycle, and when you cycle through and around, and you need the same dont you want to know you can count on others? And if you havent reached this part of your cycle, then you should be in the interdepence phase, that is if you are so inclined...

For the love of money

For a long time to believed that money was the root of all evil. It's very easy to think that when you look around and see all the wicked things people do for money, killing, stealing, lying, etc. But I found out not too long ago that this is intact not true.

The root of evil is really the love and obsession over un-jah-ly things. There fore the love of money can fall into that category, and I think or rather know I fall victim to this. I think about money all day long, everything I do is geared toward money. I want to change, I want to stop loving money and just have a healthy respect of it.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting it, working hard for it, or even having lots of it. but so long as it is not the most important thing in ones life, so long as it is never put before Jah.

so Jah Jah, I pray you help me and others like me with this same problem.
